Newest Project in the works...

The paper dress project is done but the next project has begun. For my fashion aesthetics class we are establishing our own brands. My group decided on a vintage shoe brand called "Archaic". This project hasn't been too exciting but we are finally getting to the good part.. ad campaigns! We spent our class time today working on several mock magazine ads and I LOVE how they look.

White Paper Dress

For my fashion aesthetics class we were given an assignment to make a garment... any garment we wanted. But there was a catch. The garment had to be made entirely out of WHITE PAPER! When we started this project we had to choose an inspiration that our garments would be based around. For my inspiration I chose Japanese culture, more specifically, the Geisha. Over winter break I watched a documentary about this girl who traveled to Japan to learn about and live the life of a Geisha. I found myself fascinated by every aspect of their lifestyle but for my garment I chose to focus on their kimonos. Once our garments were complete we had a photoshoot with the fashion photography class. Words cannot even begin to explain my excitement for this day. Now that everything is finished, I am happy to say I can breathe again... sighhhh. On to the next project!

SKATER BOI

So rather than working on my fashion midterm, I went along with the boyfriend and our friend Taylor to check out the new "sweet skate spot". Maybe its an upside to living in downtown Atlanta... it was super windy outside so I spectated from the car with the dog (first picture). I tried to take some pictures to show off how good he is but my camera was being crazy so they didn't come out too great. I'll try and get my hands on the few pictures Taylor took. I have attached a link to a skate video everyone should check out... my boyfriend is the one with the sweet dance moves. Enjoy!

Organized Chaos

I desperately need to organize my closet!! This is only a little corner and its just a disaster...I'm almost embarrassed but in all honesty school is extremely time consuming. I have put cleaning and organizing as top priority on my list of things to do. Perhaps I'll start tonight...
